Why did we create a parent 1:1 program?
With over 20 years of combined clinical experience in supporting individuals and families through eating disorder recovery we have learned that:
When one person has an eating disorder the whole family does
When parents and carergivers shift their own actions and reactions, and learn to create less space in the home for the eating disorder… it changes EVERYTHING.
When we get the chance to coach and support parents and caregivers through navigating an eating disorder with their child at home, we are able to create huge strides forward towards eating disorder recovery regardless of where your child is at in their recovery journey, what other support they are receiving (with us, or elsewhere) and whether or not they are open, willing and ready to do recovery.
WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?
This program is designed for PARENTS and CAREGIVERS who are facilitating recovery at home. You have a child/adolescent (ages 13 - 25) that has been diagnosed with an eating disorder, and you are working on re-feeding, weight restoration, food normalization, symptom interruption, and physical stability as a family unit.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
For the 12 week duration, parents will have 4 x 30 minute (or 2 x 60 minute) weekly 1:1 sessions with our registered nutritionist and certified recovery coach, as well as email support for additional communication as needed over the duration of the program.
